An exclusive in-person tour of ‘A Splendid Land: Paintings from Royal Udaipur’ was held at The Cleveland Museum of Art for the Social Register Association, on September 8th, 2023.

The tour was led by Sonya Rhie Mace, The George P. Bickford Curator of Indian and Southeast Asian Art at Cleveland, accompanied by Social Register Association Chairman, Christopher R. Wolf.

Friends of Mewar’s founder, Padmaja Kumari Parmar, whose family’s generous donation comprise most of the paintings in the exhibition, also joined this private walkthrough organized for The Social Register, an exclusive organization that compiles and publishes a directory of influential and prominent individuals in high society since the 1880s in the United States.
