Padmaja spoke at a ‘Together With T1D’ assembly on August 12th, 2024 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India to strengthen access to care for Type 1 Diabetes.
Organized by the National Health Mission, the Government of Rajasthan’s Directorate of Medical and Health Services, and the William J. Clinton Foundation, the seminar highlighted the alarming increase in diabetes and other chronic diseases in India over recent years.
The goal of the event was to emphasize the commitment to tackling non-communicable diseases (NCDs) through better treatment, prevention, and public awareness and to launch the poster of the ‘Mission Madhuhaari’ campaign.
Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar was in attendance and discussed the importance of this initiative in Rajasthan and how it’s imperative to improve the large medical infrastructure and provide better health services to increase activities so that the general public can be motivated to adopt preventive health measures.
Joint Director Dr. Sunil Singh, Chief Medical and Health Officer Jaipur, Dr. Hansraj, Director Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur, along with other medical experts and representatives were also present to support.
