Padmaja Kumari Parmar, along with her husband Dr. Kush Parmar, visited some of the phulwaris (childcare centers) that her foundation, Friends of Mewar supports on July 6th, 2023.
The centers are run by FOM’s partner, Basic Healthcare Services, in rural areas around Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. On this particular visit they went to both the Jhalendrafala and Shilafala Phulwaris to spend some time with the children, interact with some of the parents of the children, and speak with the workers and volunteers who keep the centers running.
Afterwards, they visited the BHS Rawach Clinic to learn more about the various healthcare responses and initiatives being undertaken to support the local tribal communities.
