Improving Lives & Empowering the Type 1 Diabetes Community

A high-level summit addressing the critical need for early diagnosis and treatment of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), with an emphasis on Type 1 Diabetes, took place in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India last week.

Hosted by Padmaja Kumari Parmar, founder of Friends of Mewar and Breakthrough T1D Global ambassador, this summit was jointly organized by Breakthrough T1D and Friends of Mewar to bring together leading experts from UNICEF India, the William J. Clinton Foundation, charitable institutions, civil society organizations, and the ImPatient Network to advance the agenda of early NCD detection, accessible quality care, and comprehensive support systems for all.

It is our collective responsibility to ensure that everyone has access to the necessary screening, diagnostics, and care pathways by prioritizing this issue and strengthening our healthcare systems, enhancing public awareness, and supporting community-based initiatives to reach the most vulnerable.

You can watch the full recap of the event on Friends of Mewar’s YouTube channel, and follow along to stay informed as we continue to work together to positively impact lives!

A special shoutout, and thank you, to Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation & HRH Group of Hotels for their generous hospitality & support!
